Phil Jackson's pressure on Knicks' Carmelo Anthony backfiring

New York Knicks' president Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony's relationship has been frosty to say the least.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson went nuclear on Carmelo Anthony on Tuesday afternoon.

"Bleacher's Ding nearly rings the bell, but I learned you don't change the spot on a leopard with Michael Graham in my CBA daze".

Anthony, a 13-year veteran, has a no-trade clause and would have to agree to waive that clause before a trade could be completed.

Top Senate Democrat says has 'serious concerns' about court nominee Gorsuch
Smith also says the vacancy caused by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia almost one year ago should have been filled long ago. Republicans declined to hold a hearing or a vote on Garland, saying the new president should get to pick the next justice.

Jackson issued a more-than-questionable tweet on Tuesday in reference to Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding, praising Ding's critical piece on Anthony's evolution as a pure victor. If loving something in an irrational way could describe anything then the New York Knicks fans surely feel the same about their team.

Anthony tried to play off the comments as ridiculous.

Temporarily committing to defense in the third quarter - holding Los Angeles to 20 points on 39.1 percent shooting (9-for-23), including just 1-for-7 from 3-point range - NY built a game-high 10-point lead at the start of the final quarter on a Porzingis trey.

Three first-round picks for Anthony would make any deal a good one for the Knicks. It's too bad Phil couldn't have avoided pissing Melo off in the process of attempting to trade him. Jackson as recently as this Tuesday took a shot at Anthony in a cryptic sort of tweet.

Russian Federation to miss World Athletics Championships in London as doping ban extended
Russian Federation has conceded that some of its athletes cheated but denies the existence of a state-sponsored doping program. Coe meanwhile reiterated the IAAF's commitment to giving clean Russian athletes the possibility to compete as neutrals.

Taking a more positive and far less defensive stance than O'Quinn, Anthony similarly chooses to leave the past where it is in relation to this season. The NBA trade deadline is February 23.

This was the exceedingly optimistic hope of Knicks fans when franchise owner James Dolan hired Phil Jackson in March 2014 to a five-year, $60-million contract to restore glory back to the organization. "It's testing me", Anthony said. Entering Wednesday's matchup versus the Los Angeles Clippers, the Knicks sport a 22-31 record, somehow just 2.5 games out of a playoff spot but looking more like a cellar dweller with each passing game.

The Knicks have also discussed potential Anthony deals with the Clippers and Boston Celtics, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Stein.

Adding Anthony and Bradley (despite moving on from Griffin) would balance the Clippers roster and change up the status quo in L.A. Coach Jeff Hornacek acknowledged it may have been a distraction but one he expected the Knicks to play through, and they had a chance to tie before Anthony missed a 3-pointer down 118-115.

United Nations human rights report details 'brutal' cruelty against Rohingyas by Burmese forces
They include images of bullet and knife wounds, burns and injuries resulting from beatings with rifle butts or bamboo sticks. Many Rohingya were reportedly hoping that Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize victor , would work to restore their rights.

Many believe the Knicks' plan is to continue their rebuilding process around Kristaps Porzingis and Willie Hernangomez while spending money in free agency.
