"To just take the $500-million dollars out of the prosperity fund that we've set aside from non-renwable resources, and they're going to spend that entire savings account for our kids in two years".

It promises to pay for the new spending by raising large corporate income tax by one per cent, imposing an "empty housing speculation tax" and reinstating a two-per cent income tax increase on high-income earners removed by the BC Liberal government in 2015.

"It's affordable. It makes sense".

The platform also commits to revitalizing the forestry industry by creating 114,000 rental, social and co-op homes over a 10-year period using wood products from B.C.
