Celtics Coach: If Smart made a gesture, 'it's unacceptable'

Jonas Jerebko

How could three ball-dominant perimeter players possibly co-exist?

Not unlike most teams, the Celtics have pronounced splits in how they rebound in wins versus losses. And role players like Bobby Portis in Game 1 and Paul Zipser in Game 2 have delivered steady, heady play. For much of the season, 6-foot-2 guard Avery Bradley led Boston in rebounds per game before Al Horford overtook him late in the year.

In the only Western Conference game on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Clippers leveled their series against the Utah Jazz at 1-1, leading wire-to-wire in a 99-91 triumph.

Smart played 27 minutes in the 111-97 loss, finishing with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.

Game 2: Hawks at Wizards, 4 p.m. "That hate is that respect".

US Sen. Elizabeth Warren launches book tour

"For the playoffs, me in particular, you get a couple of extra days rest for the body", Rondo said. We had some carless turnovers that aren't typical of our team. It's hard to jell that quickly, especially if guys don't have the right mindset. And Brad Stevens, faced with his third straight first-round exit - this time with a team considered better than the last two - has once again discovered that playoff pressure increases on everyone, including coaches. With Rondo at the offensive controls, the Bulls are finally playing the way everyone envisioned when Fred Hoiberg was hired - running and gunning up and down the court. "He had nine rebounds and when he gets the ball, he's like, 'Go, go, '" Wade said.

The Eastern Conference's top seed is struggling in its series with the Chicago Bulls. We haven't seen him play like that in a long, long time.

But there will be a lot of moving parts when the front office starts to piece together the 2017-18 roster. Since Bosh will already be collecting his full salary from the Heat, any team interested in bringing him in could probably get a contract done for the veterans' minimum.

There are many who consider Bill Russell the greatest National Basketball Association player of all time.

Otherwise, the Bulls could consider a number of developmental bigs like Wake Forest's John Collins, Texas' Jarrett Allen, Creighton's Justin Patton, Kentucky's Bam Adebayo or Cal's Ivan Rabb.

"To just take the $500-million dollars out of the prosperity fund that we've set aside from non-renwable resources, and they're going to spend that entire savings account for our kids in two years".

Ah, give me the NBA Playoffs.

The Celtics entered the 2016-17 season with the smallest roster in the league.

A potential second round series between Houston and San Antonio would be fascinating to watch. One thing we've learned over the years, never underestimate the ability of Gregg Popovich to come up with a winning game plan. Not since the 1993 NBA Finals have the Bulls won the first two games of a playoff series on the road, so this represents a post-Michael Jordan-era high point. Even without injured forward Jabari Parker, the Bucks showed off their youth and athleticism.

"Hard-core dawg, " was how former Bull Taj Gibson once described Rondo earlier this season.

It also helps that Rajon Rondo is playing like vintage Rondo, the point guard who masterminded the Celtics' title run in 2008. He is the most exciting, awesome player in the game today. "He's trying to get back as quick as he can", coach Quin Snyder said.
