'Dozens hurt' as Palestinians clash with Israeli troops

Closer medical watch of tens of hunger-striking Palestinians

The wave of violence threatened to spiral as the weekend approached as Palestinians were called to continue confronting Israeli security forces at various points in the West Bank.

Led by Palestinian leader and prominent prisoner Marwan Barghouti, around 840 Palestinians are now on the hunger strike which began April 17, according to the Israeli Prisons Service. They include reinstating bimonthly family visits, better medical treatment, and the right to education.

They say the crowd converged on the auto after it struck some protesters.

MEPs also called on the Palestinian Authority forces "to fully and timely implement effective operations to counteract the militant group's activitiers, such as firing rockets towards Israel and stressed the "imperative need to prevent the arming of terrorist groups and their smuggling of weapons, manufacturing of rockets and building of tunnels".

Beauty sleep is a real thing, researchers find
Researchers at the Karolinska Institute asked 25 volunteers to photograph themselves, make-up free, after two full nights' sleep. You know that it's important to get a good night's sleep, and odds are you probably try to do the best that you can.

Furthermore, leaders of the various political factions in Gaza united in the West Bank by holding a press conference and warning of a military confrontation with Israel if any of the hunger-strikers died.

The incident took place near a checkpoint where the day before, an Israeli settler opened fire at Palestinians who pelted his auto with rocks at a protest in solidarity with the hunger-strikers.

Hundreds of Palestinians took part in the march, leading to clashes in more than one location in Qalqilia governorate.

Palestinian officials said five protesters were wounded by live gunfire and 15 hurt by rubber-coated bullets.

Curry meanwhile had nothing but praise for Warriors youngster McCaw, who filled in for the injured Andre Iguodala with 18 points. After Golden States game one victory over the Spurs Sunday afternoon, forward Kawhi Leonard was scheduled for an MRI on Monday.

Dozens of Palestinian youths clashed on Friday afternoon with Israeli army soldiers stationed at the borderline area between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel, leaving at least eight injured, medics said.

Muataz Hussein Hilal died after the Israeli man shot into a crowd of people who were throwing rocks at his auto. It confirms an Israeli civilian opened fire, but that he says he only shot into the air.

The protesters pelted his auto with stones, and the Israeli man opened fire, killing one Palestinian and wounding an Associated Press photographer who was covering the unrest.
