Rafael Nadal crushes Stan Wawrinka to win historic 10th French Open title

The 31-year-old became the first man in Open era to win 10 titles at a Slam when he won the Roland Garros 2017 title, beating Stanislas Wawrinka in the final on Sunday.

With the victory, Nadal now has 15 Grand Slam titles, one more than Pete Sampras and behind only rival Roger Federer on the all-time list.

Wawrinka, a three time Grand Slam victor, who was victorious at Roland Garros in 2015, was bullied across the court from nearly the first point, never being allowed to settle into any kind of rhythm by the greatest clay court player of all time. By virtue of Sunday's win, Nadal has leapfrogged Novak Djokovic and Wawrinka to the second spot in ATP Rankings and is now 2650 points behind top-ranked Andy Murray.

First game of the third set and Nadal broke again as the man who stunned him in the 2014 Australian Open final suffered further damage. It was his 18th crown.

In the final set, another break gave Nadal a 4-1 lead and he would confirm his date with destiny as Wawrinka netted a backhand on his second match point.

Ohio mother and daughters mysteriously found dead in home
Wrote the 21-year-old in the bio on her Facebook page: 'Life's too short to sit and wait for luck to come your way '. Sonya Pifer told Cleveland19that the girls' father has been estranged from his daughters since they became adults.

But the barrel-chested "Stanimal" was powerless as Nadal turned the final into an exhibition of his clayclourt supremacy- taking his French Open record to an eye-watering 79-2.

"The feeling that I have here is impossible to describe, impossible to compare to other places", Nadal said on court after the victory, brushing away tears.

"For me the nerves, the adrenaline I feel when I play on this court is impossible to compare to any other feeling".

"For me to be here for many years is hard to describe".

"It was the Rafa I was expecting". But it's not. I have been playing great during the whole event, since the beginning.

Putin critic Alexei Navalny detained ahead of protest
It warned that authorities would take all necessary measures to prevent provocations or any action threatening public security. Navalny's key demographic among his supporters includes teenagers and students who have grown up only knowing Putin's rule.

"I'm a little emotional", he said.

Rafael Nadal will resume his bittersweet relationship with Wimbledon buoyed by his record-breaking French Open but wary of the traps which have ensnared him at the All England Club. He demolished 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka, 6-2, 6-3, 6-1.

"It's a while since I didn't play a very good Wimbledon".

Nadal's 10th win, he said, was an incredible achievement.

Wawrinka, bidding for a fourth Grand Slam title, hailed Nadal as an opponent and sportsman.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: EA's E3 Event Was All About Lessons Learned
Star Wars: Battlefront II's " Assault on Theed " mission does evoke the prequel films, but it doesn't stop there. EA is promising three times the content, including the return of the couch co-op mode with Skirmish.

Given Nadal's play in the tournament, his rise to this 10th title seemed nearly expected. "Nothing to say about today", he said at courtside."You're a big example, what you do tennis, in sport is unbelievable", he told the Spaniard.
