Advanced hydrogen bomb developed by N. Korea: KCNA

North Korea’s hydrogen bomb test 5 things to know

State-controlled media say it was a hydrogen bomb.

Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono said they had examined the data from the tremors and "concluded that it was a nuclear test", while Mr Abe said Japan was speaking to other nations.

Earlier in the day, North Korea claimed that it has developed a hydrogen bomb that can be mounted on an ICBM. The KMA initially announced the first quake was 5.6 magnitude.

Meanwhile, Defence Secretary James Mattis has opted for diplomatic talks and has said the U.S.is "never out of diplomatic solutions" for dealing with North Korean aggression."We're never out of diplomatic solutions". That would be 3:30 p.m.in Seoul and Tokyo, and 2:30 a.m. EDT.

Seoul's presidential office doubts this could be the North's sixth nuclear test. The photo could not be independently verified.

Gene Therapy Cancer Treatment Given Federal Approval
The treatment, called Kymriah , aims to give some patients a second chance after first-line drugs have failed. Shares of Bluebird Bio Inc, which is developing a promising CAR-T treatment, were up 11.1 percent at $113.73.

As the Two-Way reported last month, USA intelligence analysts believe North Korea has already developed a warhead that can be placed on its ballistic missiles, including an ICBM capable of reaching US territory.

A second tremor measuring 4.6 was also detected, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said.

The official KCNA news agency on September 2 said the bomb is the country's most-advanced nuclear weapon and has "great destructive power".

North Korea is believed to have conducted a test after a magnitude 5.7 natural disaster was detected earlier Sunday.

The United States Geological Survey detected an "explosion" with a magnitude of 6.3.

Tropical Storm Irma Upgraded to Category 2 Hurricane
The National Hurricane Center upgraded Irma's status to a hurricane late in the morning of Thursday, August 31. Tropical Storm Irma strengthened into a category 2 hurricane on August 31 in the Atlantic.

The agency added that leader Kim Jong Un had inspected the loading of the hydrogen bomb onto a new ICBM.

Earlier on Sunday, photos released by the North Korean government showed Kim Jong-un talking with his lieutenants as he observed a silver, peanut-shaped device that was apparently the thermonuclear weapon destined for an ICBM. South Korea's military said it has strengthened its monitoring and readiness while mulling a variety of possible responses that could be executed in collaboration with the U.S.

If the explosion proves to have been triggered by a nuclear blast, it will be the rogue nation's sixth such test and its first with U.S President Donald Trump in power.

Experts estimate today's nuclear explosion produced a yield stronger than 100 kilotons, which, if correct, would dwarf the rogue nation's last nuclear test of around 20 kilotons in September previous year.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract at the end of the season, along with Arsenal team-mates Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil . What's more hard for Arsenal to justify, however, is the manner in which they have allowed the situation to play out.
